The Green Empress is an undead sorceress who is also one of the Apokryltaros' most powerful high-priestesses.
In life, the Green Empress was a haughty wizard who conceived of a plan to create a device that would transform the world into a utopia, and as an added bonus, transform her into its supreme ruler. To power her reverse-Doomsday device, the Empress intended to summon the Apokryltaros in order to imprison It within the machine.
While it was unlikely that the Green Empress would have succeeded, her plan suffered from interference from the two heroes, Tiger Marut, who destroyed her machine, and Injasura Valserigrav, who slew her.
On a whim, the Apokryltaros felt that such colossal hubris should not go unrewarded, and cursed the Empress to be unable to die. As such, barring any divine mishap, the Empress can either regenerate or repair any injury through magic or force of will. Or, if necessary, her spirit may simply abandon her current body and possess another corpse.
In the following millenia, the Green Empress plots malicious and maliciously convoluted schemes, plots, and rituals that cause untold misery simply for the sake entertaining her master.
To aid her horrible plots, the Apokryltaros sends her legions of evil spirits, and the Empress, herself, cultivates numerous cults and armies of undead.
And then there is the Empress' familiar, Qing Ai De, a sabertoothed thing that loyally followed its master into undeath.
By and large, the Green Empress is the classic psychopath, selfish, arrogant and supremely manipulative. Even so, she is sincere in her etiquette, and genuinely loves to dote on any of her more amusing minions.
